Highway 17 East reduced to one lane

NORTH BAY - The Ministry of Transportation wishes to advise that Highway 17 is reduced to one lane approximately 4 km east of Stonecliffe.

Heavy rain and spring runoff has resulted in washouts to sections of Highway 17 near Heeney Creek. Emergency repairs are underway to repair the highway and reopen it to two lanes. The road is expected to remain reduced to one-lane until Thursday.

Motorists are reminded to slow down as they approach the area.
