Bizlaunch.ca, Canada’s largest trainer of entrepreneurs hopes that many of the 200,000 Canadians expected to lose their jobs this year will seek brighter futures through self-employment, stating the best way to stimulate the economy is to start a small business. Small Business is the backbone of the Canadian economy. In Nipissing District 85% of all employers have less than 10 employees.

“The government plans to spend billions of dollars to create and protect jobs, when they should be helping more Canadians to start small businesses,” said Bizlaunch co-founder, Roger Pierce. “Self-employment is the best form of job creation because it stops people from continuing to depend on unstable corporate employers.”

Bizlaunch has trained over 20,000 small business owners worldwide through their website and free local seminars which provide practical, ready-to-apply, how-to advice.

“There’s no better way to boost the economy,” he said. “Canadian small businesses collectively generate the most taxes, employ the most people and are responsible for driving innovation and development. Plus, new businesses inject billions into the economy because they purchase goods and services to get their operations rolling.”

“The sooner we stop relying on others to pay us so we can feed our families, the better,” he said. “The only way to truly control your economic future is by being your own boss.”

Bizlaunch will be coming to North Bay to present the free seminar ‘How to Market on a Small Budget’ being held at STAPLES at 1899 Algonquin Avenue, on Tuesday, March 31 from 6:30pm – 8:00 p.m. Participants may visit www.bizlaunchlca/staples to register and for a list of all North Bay seminars in 2009.

A serial entrepreneur with numerous start-ups to this credit, Pierce believes now is the best time for Canadians to embrace their entrepreneurial nature. “Small business owners are free to make their own decisions, pursue their passion, work with customers they like and create very rewarding lifestyles,” he said.

In 2009, Bizlaunch.ca predicts tens of thousands of people will join the 2.65 Million Canadians already open for business.
