Marshall honours student leaders

Nipissing University recognized and celebrated its promising student leaders this afternoon as the university handed out the Dave Marshall Student Leadership Awards.

Students who have made significant contributions to their academic program, the university and the community were recognized and presented with a Leadership Award by former university president Dr. Dave Marshall and current university president Dr. Dennis Mock.

This prestigious, non-monetary award celebrates the accomplishments of students in their area of study, their affect on students and university affairs and their leadership role within the larger North Bay community.

This is the sixth anniversary of the awards which were created in 2004 to recognize the former president and vice-chancellor of Nipissing University, Dr. Dave Marshall, and his commitment to higher education, his vision for the future, and his dedication to community service.
