Chippewa St. woman charged with obstruct police

On the 4th of March during the afternoon hours Cst. Christian Elia of the North Bay Police attended a residence within the city in regards to seeking a wanted person.

At this time the officer became suspicious of a female and began to question her. It is alleged that she denied being the person whom the officer wanted but after further investigation the officer was satisfied of her identity.

Andrea COUCHIE 22 years old of Chippewa St. W. is charged with Obstruct Police as well as being arrested for 4 outstanding warrants that include 2 counts of Fail to Appear, Possession of Drugs as well as Theft and Possession of Stolen Property.

She was kept in custody for a bail hearing.
