Police officer charged for failing to yield

Kirkland Lake – On Saturday February 21, 2009, the Ontario Provincial Police was called to investigate a noon hour, two-vehicle collision at intersection at Federal and Brown Streets in Kirkland Lake.

A marked OPP vehicle (Chevrolet Tahoe) on regular patrol failed to yield right of way at the Brown Street yield sign and collided with a Ford Explorer.

A passenger in the civilian vehicle was treated for minor injury. Both vehicles were damaged in the collision.

Provincial Constable Dave DUBE a 4 year member of the OPP, currently of the Kirkland Lake detachment has been issued with a Provincial Offences Notice under the Highway Traffic Act for Fail to Yield to Traffic on Through Highway.
