Mattawa man charged with DUI and resist arrest

Mattawa - On the 15th of February 2009 Mattawa OPP responded to a request to locate a male after concerns of his wellbeing by family members.

OPP officers located the male operating a motor vehicle in the Town of Mattawa and determined his ability to drive was impaired by alcohol. While facilitating the arrest the male resisted and as a result an officer and the suspect were injured. Both were treated and released from hospital. SIU was contacted due to the injury sustained by the accused and opted to invoke their mandate.

Charged with impaired driving, driving with an alcohol level exceeding 80 milligrams and assault with intent to resist arrest is 50 year old Ricky COBB of the Town of Mattawa.
