Hamilton man charged with assault a weapon

On the 6th of Feb. during the evening hours it is alleged that a man struck a woman that was known to him.
This caused some injury and then the man left the residence and made his way to the bus depot on Station Rd.
Csts. Steve Trahan and Henri O’Neill of the North Bay Police were notified of this allegation and attended the bus station and arrested a suspect.

Winston PHILLIP 45 years old of Hamilton is charged with Assault, Assault With a Weapon and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.
