All Heart Pet rescue in Powassan has taken in six dogs from the Timmins and District Humane Society today. The Timmins shelter at full capacity, needed to make room for more strays.

Timmins had put out a plea last week after they found out they would be taking in ten German Shepherd puppies as part of a cruelty investigation. Unfortunalty when the humane society went to pick up the puppies, the man had 'gotten rid of them'.

All Heart Pet Rescue owner Kathy Jeanneault stepped up to the plate saying she would have room after Christmas for dogs in her shelter.

Timmins appreciated the offer an eight hour return trip to be able to save six beautiful large breed dogs.

Acting Manager Christine along with a friend was grateful that the shelter was able to take in their over flow.

One of the dogs an older Cocker Spaniel Mix had been given extended dentistry to be able to have him live out the rest of his life comfortably.

All Heart is also waiting on Peterborough Humane Society to give them the date when dogs from the Havlock Ontario Cruelty seizure occurred. Eighty three dogs were taken from a "collector' as they weren't being fed or watered properly. Some of the dogs were weighing up to 40 pounds under weight.

All Heart currently has many dogs up for adoption. They can be viewed at www.ontariopetrescue.com
