South Himsworth woman charged with impaired driving

North Bay – OPP officers were busy with motor vehicle collisions over the holidays with two of the several collisions being that of an impaired driver.

Debbie SCHOLTE, 43 years old, of South Himsworth Township, Ontario, was involved in a collision on Highway 11, north of Highway 654 on Wednesday, December 24th, 2008 at approximately 9 a.m. A Powassan OPP officer investigated the incident and charged SCHOLTE with Impaired Driving (or Care or Control) – Motor Vehicle, as per s. 253(a) of the Criminal Code and with Over 80 – Operate (or Care or Control) – Motor Vehicle, under s. 253(b) of the Criminal Code. SCHOLTE is scheduled to appear for court in North Bay on February 3, 2009.
