Ottawa - In a video statement, Council of Canadians national chairperson Maude Barlow is calling for Stephen Harper to step aside, so that the Liberal-NDP coalition can form the new government. The 3-minute video is online at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gD7L-QNwda4

"For the good of the people of Canada, for the dignity and good and workings of the House of Commons, he must step down and allow the coalition to come into power," Barlow says in the video.

The Council of Canadians is calling on people across the country to join the Make Parliament Work rallies planned across the country, most of which are taking place on December 4.
