Catholic board and CUPE reach tentative agreement

The Canadian Union of Public Employees’ (CUPE) Local 2799, representing custodial and maintenance staff, and the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board are pleased to announce that a tentative agreement was reached on November 13, 2008.

Details of the four year agreement will be released once the contract has been ratified by the membership and the Board. Ratification by the Board was completed today, November 21, 2008, while CUPE is expected to ratify the agreement on November 22, 2008.

The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board has 37.5 FTE custodians and maintenance workers who work in 13 elementary schools, St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School and the board office serving approximately 3,250 students.
