Collision leads to impaired charges

North Bay OPP officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Saturday, November 15th, 2008 shortly before 3:00 a.m. on Highway 11 (Algonquin Avenue) in the city of North Bay.

No one was injured as a result of the collision. However, Tina MEDAKOVIC, 23 years old, North Bay, Ontario was charged with Impaired Driving (or Care or Control) – Motor Vehicle, as per s. 253(a) of the Criminal Code and with Over 80 – Operate (or Care or Control) – Motor Vehicle, under s. 253(b) of the Criminal Code. MEDAKOVIC is scheduled to appear for court in North Bay on December 16th, 2008.

Later that morning, shortly before 11:00 a.m., a North Bay OPP officer stopped a vehicle as a result of a traffic violation. As a result, Gray MILLMAN, 20 years old, of Orillia, Ontario was charged with Over 80 – Operate (or Care or Control) – Motor Vehicle, under s. 253(b) of the Criminal Code. MILLMAN is scheduled to appear for court in North Bay on December 9th, 2008.

Reports of a possible impaired driver were received on Saturday, November 15th, 2008, shortly after 10:00 p.m. North Bay OPP located vehicle on Highway 11 near Seymour on the bypass. Driver, Steven THOMAS, 45 years old, Sault Ste-Marie, Ontario was charged with Impaired Driving (or Care or Control) – Motor Vehicle, as per s. 253(a) of the Criminal Code and with Over 80 – Operate (or Care or Control) – Motor Vehicle, under s. 253(b) of the Criminal Code. THOMAS is scheduled to appear for court in North Bay on December 16th, 2008.
