OPP seek help with missing Parry Sound man Update

West Parry Sound OPP were requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing party, Michael Ryan JACKLIN.

JACKLIN was located by police on Sunday November 09th, 2008 in the Parry Sound area. He was taken to the West Parry Sound Hospital for exposure treatment and assessment.

On Saturday November 8, 2008 police received a complaint of a possible attempt suicide in the area of the Parry Sound Mall.

A 29 year old male, Michael Ryan Jacklin, had told a family member on Mall Dr at 2006hrs that he was going to ingest a quantity of prescription medication in order to end his life. Jacklin left the area on foot. Jacklin was last observed again by a Family member on foot in the Church St area at 2045 hrs. Canine and ERT were called in to assist in the search commencing at the Church St location where subject was last observed. An extensive search of Church St., Joseph St., Logan’s Lane, Salt Dock Rd. and surrounding wooded areas by canine and ERT yielded negative results.

Jacklin was recently released from Penatanguishene Psychiatric Facility. Physical descriptors of Jacklin: approximately 6’ tall, short sandy blonde hair and unshaven. Jacklin last seen wearing a camouflage sweater, blue jeans, beige shoes and a white baseball cap.
