Catholic Teachers and Board reach tentative agreement

The Nipissing Elementary Unit (NEU) of the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association (OECTA) and the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board are pleased to announce that a tentative agreement was reached on October 25, 2008.

Details of the four year agreement will be released once the contract has been ratified by the membership and the Board. Ratification by NEU is expected on November 11, 2008, while the Board is expected to call a special meeting to ratify the agreement shortly thereafter.

The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board has 157.5 FTE elementary teachers who belong to OECTA in 13 elementary schools serving approximately 2,270 students.
