Mattawa OPP and North Bay Crime Unit are investigating a robbery that occurred in the early morning hours of Friday, October 31st, 2008. The incident occurred in an alley way adjacent to the Scotia Bank located on Main Street in Mattawa.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., on Friday, October 31st, 2008, a 23 year old male attended the ATM at the Scotia Bank. After he completed his transaction, he was lured by a male suspect asking for his assistance at the other end of the alley way towards the rear of the bank. As the victim walked towards the end of the alley way, a second male ran out from the rear the alley way and attacked him. The victim was subdued by both suspects and stole $80.00 cash from him. The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the attack.

The suspects fled the scene and are described as the following:

Subject 1 - male, unknown age, approximately 5’8” tall;

Subject 2 - male, unknown age and no other descriptors available.

Both males were wearing long sleeve shirts or sweaters.
