DIA presents 20th Annual Old Fashioned Christmas Walk

The Downtown Improvement Area is proud to announce it will be hosting it's 20th Annual Old Fashioned Christmas Walk. Friday, November 28, 2008 from 6 PM until 9 PM and Saturday, November 29, 2008 from 10 AM until 4 PM.

We are asking the citizens of North Bay to join us for the ceremonial Christmas tree lighting at the Downtown Parkette (corner of Main and Fraser) at 6 PM with Mayor Vic Fedeli, MP Anthony Rota, MPP Monique Smith and other local dignitaries and friends. Also included during the night will be the Horse & Wagon Rides with Bernie Fownes and Family, Live Music, Merchant's Christmas Sale/Window Unveiling and Refreshments. Carollers, Musicians and Choirs are welcome to participate.

New to this year's event is our partnership with the Knights of Columbus and the Hospital Foundation Committee bringing the "Tree of Life" during the lighting ceremony on Friday evening.

We ask all citizens and participants to make this a truly old fashioned experience by coming dressed in old fashioned clothing (Dickens era).
