October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and second year students in Canadore's Radio Broadcasting Program once again helped kick things off in North Bay with their 3rd annual "Hoops 4 Hope" campaign.

With a donation of their choice, participants take shots at a basketball net to win prizes.

Canadore President Barbara Taylor and North Bay mayor Vic Fedeli were first "to the hoop" while many Canadore staff and students joined in to help raise over $220.00 for breast cancer research in just a few hours.

The annual curriculum-driven event provides students with a unique promotional opportunity while helping the local chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society.

During the three years Panther Radio has been running the event, over $1000.00 has been raised.

Congratulations to Canadore student Jeff Moore, the Panther Prize Pack winner.
