The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board will join educational organizations from around the world in celebrating World Teachers’ Day on October 5, 2008. Since 1993 when it was inaugurated by UNESCO, this day has been a time to acknowledge our teachers for their vital role in helping our students reach their highest potential.

The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board wishes to thank its teachers for their commitment to student achievement and their devotion to learning.

“We recognize our Catholic teachers on this day for their dedication and enthusiasm in the classroom and for setting an excellent example to all of our students,” said Director of Education, Anna Marie Bitonti. “We thank them for teaching our students the values rooted in our Catholic faith, and for their role in helping each student grow spiritually, academically, socially and morally.”

We encourage our students, parents and colleagues to take a moment on World Teachers’ Day to thank our teachers for all that they do.
