“That was Easy,” a short film written by Jim Calarco and directed by Kevin Hoffman qualified as a finalist at the ‘CTV Best In Shorts Festival’ at Cinefest2008 and presented with the other 18 finalists at Silver City Cinemas in Sudbury last weekend.

The short film, produced by Claire Calarco, filmed and edited by Ric Potvin, was shot last year at a favourite local restaurant awarded second runner up.

“There were 18 finalists and we were in the top three and we're happy with that,” Jim Calarco tells BayToday.

“MJ Hayes did the continuity while Rebecca Brock and myself were the actors. We shot the film at the Delmar restaurant over a period of two days in October of 2007 and used approximately thirty local actors as extras.”

That Was Easy has also been accepted by the National Screen Institute and will run on line at their site starting today.

“It has also been picked up by Ouat Media a worldwide short film distribution company.”
