Driver succumbs to injuries in Hwy 17 collision

Beaucage Township – North Bay OPP and members of the Traffic Technical Collision Investigation (TTCI) responded to a serious single motor vehicle collision on Highway 17, west of North Bay, Ontario, east of the Look-out. The collision occurred at approximately 7 a.m.

The lone occupant, 71 year old of Cache Bay, was transported to the North Bay General Hospital with serious life threatening injuries and has since succumbed to his injuries. At this time, his name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

Both lanes were reopened to traffic shortly after 12 noon. Investigation is still ongoing.
