Canadian Navy commander to lecture at NipU

Nipissing University is pleased to welcome Commander Stuart Moors to campus for a special lecture titled The Role and Mission of the Canadian Navy in the 21st Century.

The lecture takes place on Tuesday, September 16, at 7 p.m. in room A137. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

Commander Moors’ lecture will discuss Arctic sovereignty, coastal defence, disaster relief, and anti-terrorism.

Commander Moors was born in North Bay. He enrolled in the Canadian Navy in 1977 and has held a variety of progressive positions. Currently, he lives in Halifax and serves as Assistant Chief of Staff, Personnel and Training, for the Commander of Maritime Forces Atlantic.

The lecture is jointly sponsored by Nipissing University’s vice-president academic and research, and dean of arts and science.
