CFB NORTH BAY - 22 Wing/Canadian Forces Base North Bay will hold a commemorative ceremony for the 68th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 23 on First Avenue at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 14.

The ceremony will include a parade consisting of a 30-person flight from 22 Wing, a flight of Veterans and a flight of air cadets. There will also be laying of wreaths ceremony.

In the event of bad weather, the ceremony will be held inside at the Legion at 1:00 p.m.

The Battle of Britain was fought in the summer of 1940 when the Royal Air Force and the Royal Canadian Air Force confronted the German Luftwaffe on a daily basis until the allies claimed victory on September 15, 1940.
