Driver refused to stop

On the 28th of August at approximately 4:30PM, Cst. Scott Buchanan of the North Bay Police Service was conducting a routine traffic stop on Wasi Rd in Callander. The driver of a motor vehicle allegedly refused to stop and police pursued the vehicle, which eventually came to a stop by hitting the ditch at a gas station at the corner of Tillicum Bay Rd and Wasi Rd. There was damage to the driver's motor vehicle, however no one sustained any injuries.

Robert MARKI, 25 years old of Waltonian Dr. in Callander is charged with Flight From Police and will appear for court at a later date.
