It is with great excitement that All Heart Pet Rescue, Canadian Hound Rescue, and A Walk in the Park committee announces the Paws and Claws Festival of Mutts. The event, which is a joint fundraising venture for the three groups, will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008 from 10am to 6pm at All Heart Pet Rescue in Powassan.

Our three groups share something very special in common; a love for dogs. It only seemed natural then that these three groups would pool their resources and membership together for a common goal.

This festival will feature friendly competitions such as best trick, dog/owner look-alike, as well as doggy sports demonstrations, vendors booths, food and entertainment. As well, there will be an opportunity to view dogs and cats that are up for adoption from both rescue agencies. This
event promises to be great fun for everyone, including dogs.

There will be no admission cost for the festival, however donations are welcome. People are also welcome to bring their dogs to the event, however they are naturally responsible to make sure they behave.

All proceeds from the event will benefit All Heart Pet Rescue, Canadian Hound Rescue, and *A Walk in the Park* committee, the group looking to set up an off-leash dog park in the North Bay area.
