Fire hazard remains low to moderate

East Fire Region situation update for August 21st.

- No new fires in the region yesterday

- 77 fires to date in the East Fire Region since April 1, 2008

There are currently no active fires in the East Fire Region.

Five FireRanger crews from the East Fire Region have been deployed to assist with escalated fire activity in the West Fire Region.

The forest fire hazard is low to moderate across most of the East Fire Region. Sunny and dry conditions are forecasted for the next few days throughout most of the region.

Always use caution with all outdoor fires and follow safe burning guidelines. Remember to choose a safe site, keep you r fire small and never leave it unattended.
