Commanda Township – North Bay OPP have charged two males from Sudbury area on Sunday, August 17th, 2008, as a result of a traffic stop on Highway 17 in Commanda Township, Ontario and another male after driving off the road.

An Anishinabek Police Service officer and OPP officers were conducting R.I.D.E. on Highway 17 in Commanda Township at approximately 2:30 am when their investigative skills lead them to a quantity of cannabis and a large amount of money just under $20,000.

Joseph Daniel A. BEAUDRY, 22 years old, of Chelmsford, Ontario is charged with:
• Possession Schedule II Cannabis Marihuana - under 30grams contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA), s. 4 (1) and
• Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code Canada (CC), s. 354 (1) (a)

Julien Albert PLEIZIER, 28 years old, of Sudbury, Ontario is charged with:
• Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code Canada (CC), s. 354 (1) (a)

While officers were dealing with BEAUDRY and PLEIZIER, a motor vehicle traveling westbound drove off the road behind a parked police cruiser and stopped just before going into the ditch on the eastbound side. Tyler James CROGHAN, 23 years old, of North Bay, Ontario is charged with Over 80 – Operate (or Care or Control) – Motor Vehicle, contrary to the Criminal Code Canada (CC), s. 253(b). .

All three males are scheduled to appear on Tuesday, September 30th, 2008 at the North Bay Court on Plouffe Street.
