Region fire hazard remains low to moderate

East Fire Region situation update for August 10 as of 10:30am

• No new fires in the region yesterday
• 75 fires to date in the East Fire Region since April 1, 2008

No new fires were reported yesterday. There are currently no active fires in the East Fire Region.

The forest fire hazard in the East Fire Region is low to moderate.

Always use caution with all outdoor fires and follow safe burning guidelines. Remember to choose a safe site, keep your fire small and never leave it unattended. Ensure the fire is put dead out before leaving the site. If you live in a Municipality, check local bylaws for any burning restrictions that may apply.
