TOROS - an excellent training ground for youth

It is not enough for Adrian Shepherd Gawinski to come home from college and enjoy the summer with his family and take part in a summer theatre production, this summer he once again proves he has what it takes to tackle two shows at once.

Gawinski proved he had stamina when he tackled the Sound of Music and Bugsy Malone at the same time in November 2006, and this summer he is attempting two different theatre genres – drama and a musical at the same time.

“I am in Fiddler because I do TOROS most summers,” explains Gawinski who has the role of Perchik in the Theatre Outreach On Stage (TOROS) production of Fiddler on the Roof.

“Shawn (McDowell), who is directing Death of a Salesman (Hubbub Theatre), needed an extra actor and so he sent me an email and said we need someone to play this part and can you do it … it sounded like a lot of fun and this is such a classic play and I thought it would be a really need thing to have on my resume.”
