Lightning brings region one new fire

East Fire Region situation update for August 6 as of 10:00am.

- One new fire in the region yesterday

There are currently no active fires in the East Fire Region.

Sudbury 27, a lightning caused fire, was reported yesterday at 0.1 hectares in size and is now out.

The forest fire hazard in the East Fire Region is low to moderate.

Always use caution with all outdoor fires and follow safe burning guidelines. While camping this long weekend enjoy your campfire but always remember to choose a safe site, keep your fire small and never leave it unattended.
