The North Bay Literacy Council is seeking former students, tutors and volunteers to invite them to the 30th anniversary awards banquet.

The banquet and dance will be held on September 12 at the Davedi Club on Airport Road.

Executive Coordinator, Jane Jackson, says "the Council would like to invite all former students and volunteers to help us celebrate our thirty years of literacy service to the community."

"We are also extremely excited to announce that the keynote speaker for the banquet will be James K. Bartleman, former Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and a huge supporter of literacy."

Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available at the Literacy Council office at 347 Sherbrooke Street, Suite 301. The cost is $30 each for tutors/volunteers and spouses and $20 each for students and their spouses. The deadline for purchasing tickets is Friday, August 15.
