3 new fires for the region overnight

East Fire Region situation update for August 3rd as of 10:30pm.

- Three new fires in the region yesterday
- One Fire Behaviour Analyst assisting in British Columbia

There are currently no active fires in the East Fire Region. Three new fires were reported yesterday in the Sudbury District. Each of these fires were 0.1 hectares in size and have been called out.

The forest fire hazard in the East Fire Region is low to moderate.

Always use caution with all outdoor fires and follow safe burning guidelines. While camping this long weekend enjoy your campfire but always remember to choose a safe site, keep your fire small and never leave it unattended. Ensure the fire is put dead out before leaving the site. If you live in a Municipality, check local bylaws for any burning restrictions that may apply.
