Chippewa students win flip of the ¢OIN

Students considering a bright looking future in the Chartered Accounting profession scored some impressive prizes in this year’s edition of ¢OIN: the Ontario CA Challenge. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario held its annual competition on May 13th to give high school students considering a career as a Chartered Accountant the opportunity to compete, have fun and earn some cash prizes.

Students competed by answering a 75-question exam in one hour at a designated site supervised by a local Chartered Accountant. All of the participants receive a certificate of participation and a chance to find out more about the exciting opportunities offered by a career as a Chartered Accountant. Top place finishers in each district receive certificates of achievement and a plaque for their school with first place district winners also receiving $100 cash.

Chippewa Secondary School and West Ferris Secondary School were represented locally in this year’s competition. The 2008 North Bay and Area District winners are as follows:
