On Wednesday June 18th the children at Dr. MacDougall Public School from the Gr. 5/6 class of the 2006/2007 school year presented a cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society for $2,200.90.

The Entrepreneurial Pilot Program was started last year with the students coming up with a business plan and executing it. They decided on the Kid's Care bucket hats with the proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society. The students worked very hard with some help from the adults to complete their tasks and accomplish their goals.

The students came up with a fabulous motto....'Cover up someone you love and prevent skin cancer!' Good advice at any age.
