Local man charged with extrotion and assault

On the 9th of June it is alleged that a man punched another man in the head for believing he had informed on him. This same man then further allegedly took the victim’s computer and refused to give it to him unless he paid money owed to the suspect.

Eventually the North Bay Police was called and Det. Cst. Richard Hampel and Cst. Brad Reaume of this Service attended a residence on Memorial Dr. on the 18th of June and arrested the suspect within a vehicle, as he was injecting himself. The property was recovered.

Adam MARTIN 22 years old of North Bay is charged with Extortion, Assault, Theft and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.
