A group of very enthusiastic young men will be donating their services to help weed and mulch one of the Tree Nurseries of the Nipissing Botanical Gardens for the second year in a row.

The 6000 shrubs and 450 baby trees were planted in the summer of 2006 for future use as the under-story of the celebration forest in the Community Waterfront Park. These trees will be transplanted to the park in late 2009 or early 2010! The Two Tree Nurseries have been so successful over the last two years that approximately 100 trees and shrubs were transplanted earlier this spring along Chippewa Creek to help provide shade along the creek.

Volunteers from the Northwoods Project, a College Christian Group from the United States and members of the Nipissing Botanical Gardens (a committee of the North Bay Heritage Gardeners) will gather together to accomplish this task.
