Area man charged with impaired driving

North Bay OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision west of North Bay on Highway 17 in Beaucage Township early Sunday, June 15th, 2008.

Services of Anishinabek Police, West Nipissing Police Service, North Bay Ambulance, and the Fire Department were all on scene to assist. The male party required to be extricated from the vehicle and brought by ambulance to the North Bay General Hospital.

Driver, Darrell N. MILES, 33 years old, Dourro-Dummer Township was charged with:

• Possession of Firearm while Prohibited s. 117.01(1) cc;

• Failure to Provide Breath Sample - Motor Vehicle s. 254(5) cc; and

• Impaired Driving Cause Bodily Harm - Motor Vehicle s. 255(2) cc.

MILES is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, July 22nd 2008 at 9:30 a.m. in North Bay on Plouffe Street.
