Van stolen overnight Update

On the 6th of June at approximately 6 AM a motor vehicle was stolen from Douglas St. in North Bay. As officers of the North Bay Police began investigating, they received further information that a vehicle was driving erratically on Canadian Forces Base property.

A very short time later a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Peninsula Rd. was reported to our Service.

In the course of the investigation one of our detectives provided furthere information that lead Csts. Roger Drolet and Walter Neeley to a residence on Viceroy Rd. where the officers arrested one male adult.

Jason HANSMAN 25 years old of 3rd Av. W is presently charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle and the investigation continues. He is being held in custody for a bail hearing.

Overnight on the 4th of June a 1997 Plymouth van was stolen from the 800 block of Douglas St.

The blue vehicle with Ontario plate ABAE 490 is further described as having a black bra on the front and was also equipped with a roof rack.
