Police investigating the discovery of human remains

Temiskaming, ON - The Temiskaming OPP Crime Unit is investigating the discovery of human remains along Highway 562 in the Village of Thornloe. The remains located during the early evening hours on the 2nd of June 2008 have been identified as being a male person between the ages of 25 and 50.

The remains have been removed and transported to the Office of the Chief Coroner in Toronto for forensic examination. Identification of the remains and cause of death have not been determined.

Officers from the Temiskaming OPP detachment are continuing the investigation under the direction of Detective Inspector Ken Leppert of the Criminal Investigation Branch.
