There's a new commander in town

There is a new man at the helm of the Northeast Region, it was announced today that 26 year OPP veteran Chief Superintendent Scott Tod will officially take over as the region’s commander.
There is a new man at the helm of the Northeast Region, it was announced today that 26 year OPP veteran Chief Superintendent Scott Tod will officially take over as the region’s commander.

Tod’s appoint comes on the heels of Chief Superintendent Ken Miller's retirement.

Tod, who worked and lived in the Northeast his entire policing career, has represented the OPP at the provincial, national and international level serving on a variety of committees and working groups.
His career has been vast as he has served in a number of positions including working in the Investigations Bureau, Anti-Rackets squad as well as Phone Busters.

Thanks to Tod’s efforts in addressing the issue of mass marketing fraud and helping to implement the National Mass Marketing Fraud working group, he is the only officer to receive the award of excellence from the Commissioner of the Competition Bureau.
