The wildly popular NBC television show Last Comic Standing kicks off its 6th season tonight and North Bay’s favourite son Derek Forgie aka ‘Skwirl’ is in the running.
The show features comedians from all over the world vying for a spot at the finals. The season opener has talent scouts checking out auditions in LA, NY and Toronto.
Following the 9-city audition search the best of the best comics will move on to Las Vegas for the finalists show at the Paris Las Vegas, where the top 12 comedy acts will move on to the challenge rounds of the comedy showdown.
Forgie says he doesn’t know what will come from his audition but is truly excited to be part of the process.
