13-year-old busted for prowling

On the 19th of May shortly before 2 AM Csts. Jeff Warner and Kailey Bradley of the North Bay Police were on patrol when they spotted 3 young males on Summit Dr. The males evaded the officers and were later seen on Marshall Av. and stopped and identified.

A 13 year old male had bolt cutters and a wrench in his possession.

He was charged with Obstruct Police, Trespass by Night, Possession of Break In Instruments and 2 Counts of Breach of Recognizance. He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.

Meanwhile, A home owner in the 700 block of Galt St. reported to Police that her home was broken into on two occasions during the past month.

The first time was between the 9th of May at 6 PM and the 11th of May at 11 PM.

Thieves had pushed the front door window open allowing them access into the home. At this time they stole some DVDs and PS 2 games. The owner did not report this at the time.

The next unlawful entry was between the 14th of May at 2 PM and the 16th of May at 5:30 PM.

Here, the thieves gained access through the previously broken door window. Once inside they stole a book shelf stereo, cell phone and several wolf figurines, and two wolf wall pictures, 2 dragon pipes and some used syringes.
Nearby residents saw two male individuals going into the apartment on the 14th of May.

They are described as approximately 18 years old, wearing baggie clothing, ball caps worn sideways and had back packs.
