On Tuesday May 13th 2008, members of Project “Northern Gateway “ (a joint investigation between members of the Ontario Provincial Police and North Bay Police Service) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at a North Bay residence.
Police dismantled an indoor Cannabis marihuana growing operation during the search. The seized drugs have a potential street value of approximately $7400.00. Two people have been charged.
CHARGED:
1. Thomas BOYER (DOB: 31Mar68) of North Bay. Held for a bail hearing on May 14th 2008 at North Bay Provincial Court.
• Production of a controlled substance contrary to section 7(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act - (Cannabis marihuana).
• Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act-(Cannabis marihuana).
2. Jennifer FAYLE (DOB: 26Jul78) of North Bay. Released via Promise to Appear with conditions.
• Production of a controlled substance contrary to section 7(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act - (Cannabis marihuana).
• Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act-(Cannabis marihuana).
