Youth viciously attacked at Midway

Staff Sergeant Mike Tarini says the altercation took place around 7:30pm where three individuals allegedly attacked a 13-year-old youth.

Reports indicate that the victim sustained serious injuries including a fractured jaw, loss of teeth, serious lacerations, which resulted to the youth being airlifted to a hospital in Toronto.

Tarini says two youths were remanded into custody while the third is an adult and was taken to the North Bay District Jail. Charged with aggravated assault is 20-year-old Danny Steadnof North Bay, and a 16-year-old male is charged with assault and a 15-year-old male is charged with assault with a concealed weapon.

Further reports indicate that there was another attack at the Midway Saturday shortly before at about the same time involving two girls. It is alleged that one girl punched the other in the face and kicked and is now facing an assault charge.
