Another motel gone

Another Lakeshore motel is closing its door. The Glenwood Motel has received a conditional approval by city council to convert twelve of its rooms into six one bedroom apartments. The owners have agreed to retrofit the building up to the latest building codes.

Residents who live in a condominium complex next door have expressed concerns over proximity with the building and lack of parking on the property. An agent representing the owners told council the budget for the retrofit will be close to $250.000 dollars.
