Catholic board starts school review process

Reports indicate that the Nipissing Parry Sound Catholic School board is reviewing the status of a couple of schools as they head into the accommodations process.



Reports indicate that the Nipissing Parry Sound Catholic School board is reviewing the status of a couple of schools as they head into the accommodations process.

Reports further indicate that St Joseph and Sacred Heart elementary schools are facing declining enrolment issues and have been deemed as prohibitive to repair in a recent staff report. St Joseph has a utilization rate of 27 percent while Sacred Heart is sitting at 42 percent.

The Accommodations Review Committee is charged with the duty of studying the current situation at both schools and report back to the board with recommendations on how they should proceed.
