Traffic stop leads to 3 arrests

Cst. Christian Elia of the North Bay Police stopped a vehicle in the city, April 28 at approximately 7:45 pm, for a driver seatbelt violation.

Two of the passengers were under conditions of non-communication with each other. Marihuana was also found in two locations within the vehicle. Two of the passengers gave false names to avoid arrest.

Cst. Dix & Corrente attended to assist in identifying the parties. All three were arrested and held for bail hearings.

Claude Degagne, age 38, of Milani Cr, is charged with 2-counts of Breach of Recognizance, and CDSA-Possession.

Dan Laforest, age 31, of Lakeshore Drive is charged with 3-counts of Breach of Recognizance, Obstruct Police, and CDSA-Possession.

Amanda Speedie, age 30, of John Street is charged with Breach of Undertaking, and Obstruct Police.
