Man flees police

A man turning onto Regina St. North Bay at 20:35 hrs April 23, turned into the path of a North Bay Police Car, then took flight when police tried to stop the vehicle.

A short chase ensued on Regina St. Hammond St. Laurier St. back to Regina St. then York St. where the driver pulled into his own driveway and stopped.

The 48-year-old driver was arrested by Cst. MacIntosh of the North Bay Police, for several traffic violations in addition to the Failure to Stop for Police.

Brian Hughes, of 400-block York Street is charged with Impaired Driving & Drive Over .80, as well as Flight from Police.
