Barber Avenue man charged with fraud

On April 17, 2008, Cst. Boissonneault received a complaint from a local Rent-to-Own company, that a male had taken the property he purchased, a laptop computer and a DVD player, and pawned them at a local pawnshop.

Under the rental agreement, the items purchased remain the property of the Rental Company until completely paid for.

On April 19th, the Suspect, Jerran Lacroix, age 20, of Barber Avenue in North bay was arrested and charged with 2-counts of Fraud, 2 counts of Possession of Stolen Property, and 3-counts of Breach of a Recognizance, and is being held for a Bail hearing today.
