North Bay Police Service reported several suspicious circumstances in late March 2008 whereby a male with a Fu Manchu Moustache, entered citizens residences on the pretext of needing to use the washroom, following attending to inquire about a used car or boat for sale on the property. Items were stolen at the time of the intrusion and as well, the suspect returned at a later time and again entered the residences.
Following investigation into these incidents, D/Cst. Gerry Martin and Cst. Stacy Jackson of the North Bay Police arrested a 37-year-old male in relation to these and several other occurrences in the city, Callander, and Redbridge Ont.
This male, who is suffering from a chronic illness, is charged with 2 counts of Theft, 2 Counts of Attempt Theft, and 4 counts of Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling House. His name is being withheld from publication.
Police would like to thank the public for their help in relation to these investigations.
