Traffic stop leads to drug bust

On Monday the 14th of April Cst. Paul Trahan of the North Bay Police conducted a traffic stop in relation to an alleged traffic violation near the intersection of Algonquin Av. and Maplewood Dr in North Bay.

At this time the lone male driver was found to be in possession of several drug debt lists, and drug paraphernalia as well as several bags of what appeared to be marijuana residue.

It should also be noted that the officer seized approximately $22,000. in cash during this same stop.

Marc VILLENEUVE 38 years old of Shawna Crt. in Barrie is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance and remains in custody for a bail hearing.
